Thirty years ago we were all much younger, full of enthusiasm and ready to hash anywhere there was another chapter to catch up with. As we approach that special birthday I've been going through the 417 hash trashes and thousands of photos that we've amassed, I thought I'd share some of it with you. You're welcome to mail in and say, 'Oh, what about the time when we lost Dobber on Piercing Hill at Theydon,' or 'when we played blow football in Athens' and so on. Anyway, here I am doing a paper shredding exercise feeling much better for it. On - On!

10/3/90 Ah, the very first one. The headline in the local paper read: 'Hash Dash from The Ash. Burton End, near Stansted. There were sixteen of us.

4/10/90 The grassy strip in Essex. The hare couldn't be bothered to find a pub, we just pulled in a lay by on the side of the road.

10/3/91 The first analversary, and one of the few FMs on a Sunday. I don't think The Chequers at Gt Dunmow has ever been the same. Fergie will tell you.

23/9/91 The t-shirt for this r*n took a lot of work. Ok, it's pretty straight forward but Snow White, The Jerdge, Pisshead and myself took most of Yorkshire Nash Hash to come up with the design. Actually it was Pisshead whose idea it was in the end, but we drank beer and kept him company. Anyone still got it?

10/3/92 Another birthday, number two this time. It was also awards night - something else never repeated as most people just got pissed instead. Flapper started it!

10/3/93 The fleece with the wolf on it, and FUK Full Moon HHH on the back. Remember? Mr X will be wearing his at the next r*n no doubt.

5/6/93 Bristol 555 weas the location for this classic. What is memorable is the complete fiasco of a hash we set which can be summed up as 'starkers hashers r*n through girl guide campsite.' We left shortly after!

29/11/93 The first of the so called Essex Interhashes. Friday night with the Essex Alternatives in Ongar, Saturday round a bonfire at Pisshead's dad's farm and Sunday somewhere with Essex. Nice red sweatshirt for that. (Red?!)

10/3/94 The one where Dobber for lost, or, to put his side of it 'you lot FUK'd off and left me.' We were waiting for him at Kojak's Taverna at Theydon.

19/8/94 Pisshead was well into laying trails from White Horses around this time, but we've hardly ever called the pub in Potter Street by that name on account of the floor show we were treated to as we supped our beer.

10/3/95 The very first of the so called pissport r*ns, held at Sawbridgeworth. There was a big turnout from Cambridge, who only came for the curry, as far as I remember..

3/2/96 Cross Channle #1. We're really spreading our wings now - a weekend in the freezing cold and snow in Oostende. The start of a long relationship with Higgins.

10/3/96 Not just a birthday, but a banger race. Another classic. Who can forget Dobber cleaning up and Action Man masticating away for ages.

24/12/96 Ninety one? It must be our first time with chilli and Jameson's at Fergie's.

10/3/97 Yet another memorable away weekend. Somehow we survived mooning outside the IRA headquarters in Dublin. One of our finer moments, but in our defence, we were only seven at this point.
